Henry finally got to find out what all the fun is about at the park. He has been working on his walking all week, and can now cover quite a bit of distance, and a few times has covered the entire length of the house. So, when we got some unseasonably warm weather this weekend, we headed out to the park and he was able to walk around. It is the first time he has been at the park since he started walking, and you could see the excitement in his face. First, he walked over to the slide and did that a few times, then he headed for the swings with a detour to the rocking horses on the way. His favorite part was climbing up the stairs and steering the big ships wheel.
Eleanor had fun this week going to her first birthday party at “Chuck E. Cheese”! She was a bit in awe of all the craziness at first, but she quickly got into the games, and loved putting the coins into the machines and then getting her winning tickets out. Her favorite game was a bucket toss where you got 6 ping pong balls and then got points by throwing them into a bucket. She went for the 1 point bucket each time, which was close enough that she could just lean over and drop the balls in :) . At the end, we counted up our tickets and headed over to the prize station. We had 31 tickets (most kids were showing up with 500+), so I showed Eleanor the 10 point bucket (the lowest one) and the 20 point bucket and told her she could pick one of each. She was very sweet – she quickly picked a green rubber bug and a red plastic Chuck E. Cheese head whistle, and then patiently waited with me while we got the prizes. Eleanor was thrilled with the prizes, and talked about them all the way home when we let her play with them for a few minutes before heading off to bed.
Other fun this week included a haircut for Henry, Eleanor and Mom making banana muffins, and running in to Uncle B and Breanne on our way home from the park – they were at a wedding at a neighborhood church – which explains (at least a little bit) Uncle B’s pants.

Very fun… love all the pictures!
If it is ok, I think I’ll stick with taking her to Starbucks and Mimi can go to the Chucky Cheese.
I hope to meet your Kids sometime soon.
Thank,Ben
