Happy Birthday Uncle B!

Eleanor and Henry celebrated Uncle B’s birthday this week with some cupcakes and playtime. Uncle B was a real sport putting up with constant request for songs and hot air balloon rides.

This week Eleanor mastered a rock wall climb at the “ring toss” park (she makes up crazy names for all the parks we go to), and tried out some goggles in the bathtub. We were planning on taking the goggles with us to swim class to encourage some underwater time, but so far they have only made it to the bath. She was very creative with her play during quite time this week – once getting into the linen drawer and setting up “beds” for her friends in three different locations in her room.

Henry keeps adding words to his repertoire, he has added “diaper”, “pancake” and “waffle”, and has a definite “H” sound for himself and an “E” sound for Eleanor. The swing is still his favorite activity at the park, but the slide is gaining popularity. He likes to put his feet down while on the slide – on Sunday he was headed down a spiral slide, everything looking good, and then when he came around the second bend, he was head first! I think he learned that from our slide at home, where he likes to put his feet down and then dives off the end headfirst into my lap. Hopefully he doesn’t attempt that when there is no one there to catch him.

  1. Interesting to see the area without the pen.
