Eleanor celebrated Mom’s birthday this week – along with lots of other fun! She had her first swim class, which was a success. It is in a very small pool, but it allows for lots of one on one time with the instructors. Plus, Eleanor isn’t really going any where in the water anyway, so it just amounts to less moving for Mom :) Uncle B and Breanne came over for a fun Saturday afternoon, and after some fun in the sand box we tried out our own backyard pool for the first time. Unfortunately, the water didn’t have time to heat up quite enough, so it was a short pool session. Eleanor’s favorite part of both the sand box and the pool seemed to be holding Uncle B’s sunglasses. Eleanor’s walking is improving each week, and she “wowed” all the moms in music class by walking across the circle. She is also getting better at the “I’m gonna get you!” game – and now actively charges instead of waiting to be “gotten”.
I noticed this week that the file numbers from our new camera rolled over. Actually, they rolled over last week but I forgot to mention it. That means that since November we have taken over 10,000 pictures – not to mention the old camera and the camera phone. My guess is that Aunt Lary has taken more than half :)
Some firsts this week:
- playing in the backyard pool
- tapping our belly when we here “Where is your tummy?”
- unassisted circumnavigation of the play pen
- first time eating grapes
- first swim lesson
