Eleanor and Henry had a fun filled week that was capped off with Eleanor losing one of her top front teeth! It had been loose for a while, and during a bit of pre-bedtime roughhousing with Dad the tooth popped out and landed on the floor. Eleanor was a bit upset at first because it hurt a little bit, but then she started having fun exploring the new window in her mouth! We celebrated by reading “Little Rabbits Loose Tooth” for a bedtime story.
We also had our first banana split party this weekend – we have a “Pete the Cat” book where he makes a banana split, and both kids were really excited to make one “just like in the book”. So Mom and the kids picked out the ingredients at the store, and on Saturday night we each made our own. Eleanor had vanilla and chocolate ice cream, with a banana and chocolate chips. Henry had vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chip and strawberry ice cream with chocolate chips, whip cream and chocolate sauce. They both enjoyed them very much, although I’m not sure the banana will be included as an ingredient next time :)

So fun….love the whipped cream on the tongue. Tell E and H that Grandma had two Springer Spaniels who loved to have me squirt whipped cream on their tongues!
so in the book, the bunny lost his tooth eating ice cream. Did E loose hers the same way?
