Eleanor had a week full of fall fun! Early in the week she took a trip to the aquarium for the first time. The ducks were definitely the biggest hit (I know – ducks at an aquarium – who knew?). At home there was lots of chasing the cat, and a new habit of holding all sorts of items up to her ear as if she was talking on the phone. The second half of the week brought a trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa, and Aunt Susan, Uncle Gabe, Mackenzie, Jack and Ben. They all took good care of Eleanor while Mom and Dad hit the town for a wedding. Eleanor did pretty well, and Grandma got some good snuggle time. Eleanor mastered saying “Zee” and “Ak” for “Mackenzie” and “Jack”, but the “Bee” for “Ben” still needs work.
Some firsts this week:
- First time in a corn maze (for Mom and Dad too!)
- First night with just Grandma and Grandpa
- First time waiting in line for cider and donuts at the cider mill
- First time giving up and leaving the cider mill without cider and donuts
- First trip to the Aquarium
- First time eating french fries
- First time eating zucchini bread
- First time celebrating Auntie Susan’s birthday in person
- First time riding in a wagon
