Henry got to meet Great Grandma this week, as she came in for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa! We had lots of fun during their visit, and took a few photos as well! Great Grandma got lots of Henry time, he was quite content hanging out in her lap. Eleanor wasn’t quite as certain, and gave Great Grandma a few of her patented blank stares :)
Eleanor learned a new word this week with the warm weather – shorts. She even used it in a partial sentence, “No shorts, pants.” Turns out that she prefers pants over shorts. Eleanor watched me scold the cat while she was scratching one of Eleanor’s toys, and now Eleanor will chase the cat around pointing and saying “No No No”. On Sunday we had our first preview of the “terrible twos” as Eleanor had a meltdown over nothing that lasted the entire walk home from the park. A random stranger passing us on a bike stopped to turn around and comment about Eleanor’s crying.
Henry has increased his smiling even more this week, flashing big ear to ear grins, as well as making some more happy noises. I’m betting on a giggle any day now. He is also getting a bit better at tummy time, he has started to push with his legs, and on Sunday he managed to lift his whole body off the ground between his toes and his head.
