Cookout!

Henry hosted his first cookout this week, with Aunt Lala, Uncle B and Breanne coming over for chickens and dogs Monday afternoon.  Both Henry and Eleanor had a blast, and Eleanor got to show off her water table skills.  Henry had a bunch of other firsts this week:

• First time tickling Eleanor’s toes
• First time wearing matching pj’s
• First time hosting a cookout
• First time eating bananas
• First time standing while holding on to the table
• First giggle

Eleanor tried coleslaw for the first time at the cookout (just a tiny bit) but mostly enjoyed dumping water on Uncle B’s head.  She has really expanded her vocabulary over the last couple of weeks – you can catch her saying lots of different four to five work phrases.  She also pronounced Henry’s name for this first time this week, instead of just an “h” noise.  She saw the ice cream truck at the park on Sunday (I think that was a first,  but I’m not sure), and she stood over by the fence and danced to the music.  Lucky for us, she doesn’t yet know what the sell from the truck.
