KANSAS! This week brought Eleanor’s (and Mike’s) first trip to Kansas and her first chance to meet Great Grandma Geneva, Great Grandma Adams, along with lots of Aunts, Grandaunts, Great Grandaunts, Cousins, Great Cousins, and every other relation you can think of :) We had our first airplane ride, our first visit to a “Farm”, and our first true BBQ party ( cooking on our grill at home on the back patio just can’t be considered a true BBQ when compared to all the tasty treats coming out of the giant smoker at Great Cousin Bob’s farm!). We captured two “Four Generation” photos, one with Ellie, Amy, Mimi Sheri and Great Grandma Geneva, and one with E, Mommy, Papa John and Great Grandma Adams. Other notable firsts this week captured on film include:
- Spending the night away from home
- Sleeping “spread eagle” (no sleep sack!)
- Holding a rattle on our own
- Being held by daddy while he wears a cowboy hat
- Blowing a bubble while sleeping on a plane (which may actually be a first for the whole family…)
Enjoy all the pics while saying to yourself, “There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home.”
