Happy Fourth of July!

The kids celebrated the Fourth with a BBQ at Uncle B’s house, with master chef Jay cooking up an amazing spread.  Henry conquered a few firsts this week, including his first time down a slide (with Mom holding on), and on Sunday he added three more roll overs to his original for a total of four.  I’m thinking many more are about to come.  He has been making lots of fun noises lately, and is getting really good at sitting up, albeit with a few bumps along the way.  Henry is really taking to eating food – he packs away at least a packet of food at each meal, and sometimes more.   He tried his first solid food this week (a puff), but that didn’t go over nearly as well.  I’m sure he will come around though, I have a feeling he is going to be a big eater.

Eleanor continues to explore longer phrases and sentences, and is also doing a lot of singing.  She sang the whole ABC song for Grandma and Grandpa on Skype, which is a huge step considering that she usually gets shy and won’t even say their names J  She also started the countdown to her 2nd birthday, less than a month to go!  Both kiddos have been growing a bunch lately, with Eleanor needing a new pair of shoes and Henry finally graduating from his 3-6 month clothes!
