Henry turned 11 months old this week! He has really been enjoying his mobility, and Eleanor continues to be surprised that suddenly things are no longer out of his reach. These days Henry seems to be most interested in whatever Eleanor is doing. He took his first trip to the library this week for story time – The Hungry Caterpillar. After the story, Eleanor, Henry and Mom went across the street for lunch at Starbucks. He has also been working on doing the slide – he went down a couple times all by himself at the park – and was very impressed with himself afterwards. We finished up the week with breakfast at Whole Foods on Sunday, and Henry joined in on the food for the first time, enjoying pancakes, strawberries and oatmeal.
Eleanor enjoyed some outside time this week with the warm weather. She is really taking to her tricycle, and is starting to do some peddling herself – although she still prefers Dad to push. She also had fun trying on shoes this week, rain boots, Mom’s high heels, and declaring her new black Keens to be “Tap Shoes”. She also really enjoyed a visit from Aunt Sarah, Uncle Jason, Uncle B, Breanne and Lala on Saturday – she got a round of applause for singing the ABC song – and her face lit up as everyone clapped. I think a light bulb went off in her head – because after that she sang several encores and eagerly awaited the crowd’s reaction.
