Eleanor and Henry celebrated and early Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa this week. We also put up our Christmas tree, and Eleanor put a few ornaments on the tree herself. She was very excited about the whole process, and reminds us each morning to turn on the lights on the tree. We figured we would outsmart Henry and leave the play yard gate up around the tree, but he could reach the tree right through it and had some fun taking the lights back off the tree. We also celebrated an early birthday for Henry while Grandma and Grandpa were in town. Henry was interested in the icing from his cupcake for a bit, but wasn’t interested in the actual cake. Eleanor was very interested in eating her cupcake and sharing an Oreo with Grandma :)
Henry has taken a few more quick steps without holding on to anything, but we aren’t ready to give him his walking merit badge quite yet. He has started making a “Ba Ba” noise to go along with his “Ma Ma”, but no “Da Da” yet.
