Happy Easter!

Henry and Eleanor celebrated Easter at Grandma and Grandpa’s house with lots of cousins! Henry had lots of fun building and knocking over towers with Grandpa, and delivering him mail from the playhouse. He also had lots of fun playing ball outside and watching the egg dyeing. He looks really upset finding his Easter basket, but that is because I had pulled him out of the high chair where he was enjoying breakfast to do the search, and then when he found the basket there were some fruit pouches in there that just reminded him of how hungry he was. Henry wore his first tie to Easter brunch, and was looking very dapper indeed. He liked sitting on the Easter Bunny’s lap, but not as much as he liked breaking open the little plastic eggs and trying to eat the chocolate treats inside!

Eleanor stayed awake for most of the drive to Grandma and Grandpa’s, and got to see a beautiful Moon rise on the highway. Mom kept trying to show her the Moon, but it was so low that trees and hills kept getting in the way. After probably 10 or 15 minutes of “Look Now!” or “It’s over here”, Eleanor finally saw it, and she proclaimed “That silly Moon is playing peek-a-boo with me”. Eleanor really enjoyed dyeing eggs this year, she gave big smiles when the eggs came out a different color. She also loved running next to her older cousins riding big wheels down the driveway. She couldn’t keep up, but she sure tried hard. She shared lots of cookies with Grandma, but I think Grandma’s favorite part was when Eleanor asked her to go upstairs and have a tea party with her. Easter brunch was a big hit, she loved the cupcake and had her first sucker. She was very excited about seeing the Easter Bunny, and went right up to her and sat in her lap, gave her a hug and a high five, and had a conversation with her. Eleanor also discovered that she could twirl her dress, and loved to show anyone who would watch.
