Pump it up 2!

Eleanor and Henry had a relaxing week at home, and had a blast celebrating our friend Colby’s third birthday at “Pump it up”. Eleanor was very excited to go back there again, after the fun that she had there a month ago at Charlie and Tyler’s birthday party. Towards the end of our time, Eleanor declared that she was ready for the “cupcake room”. In addition to yummy cake, there was cheese pizza for the kids, and Henry had his first slice. After his first bite, he kept picking it up and handing it to Dad to hold so that he could chomp off another bite.

Eleanor had a good week at preschool, and on Tuesday was particularly talkative during class. According to the teacher Ms. Charlotte, one little girl was sitting at a table with Eleanor while Eleanor was talking away, and the little girl said “Ms. Charlotte, Ms. Charlotte, Eleanor is talking!”. Eleanor also washed her first dish this week, with Lala helping. She really enjoyed it, and at dinner that night she said “After I eat I want to wash my dish”. Ha! Don’t imagine that will last too long…

We had a few warm days this week, and the kids took advantage with some time at the park. Eleanor really likes to climb the bars now at the park, and is very proud of how high she can get without any help. She will get to the top rung and then say “Mama, look at me!”. Henry has really been enjoying our small slide at home lately, but so far it hasn’t translated to loving the slide at the park. For now he mostly enjoys walking around and exploring, and swinging (but not too high!).
