Trucks and the Zoo

Eleanor and Henry had a fun week starting with a trip to the Zoo on Monday, and ending with Sesame Street Live on Friday and “Touch A Truck” on Sunday. At the zoo, the two highlights were the polar bear and the train – Eleanor was very sad because the train was closed when they first arrived, but they opened it up just in time for a ride before heading home. Retelling the story, Eleanor always emphasizes that they opened up “Just in the last minute”.

The weather is finally getting better and we got in lots of good park time. Henry is really enjoying the park, especially the sand box, and he now loves to get out and walk on the way home instead of riding in the stroller. Eleanor continues to work on her climbing, and this week climbed up the rope ladder for the first time. Both kiddos loved Sesame Street, although interest waned after intermission, and exploring the theater lobby and steps became more interesting. “Touch A Truck” was also a big hit, Eleanor said that she liked the train ride the best, but my favorite picture is definitely with the Wienermobile.
