Eleanor and Henry had a week of enjoying the outdoors as the weather turned downright hot this week. Eleanor has starting taking Henry’s hand a lot while walking – sometimes out of nowhere, but more often in an attempt to “help” Henry listen to an instruction from Mom or Dad. She loves to parrot back any parental commend headed his way.
After preschool on Tuesday, Henry was very excited to see Eleanor and went right up to her and gave her a big hug – except it wasn’t Eleanor but instead a different little girl in her class with the same color hair. Realizing his mistake, he went on to try to give Eleanor a hug, but she kept moving backwards until he fell over :(
Eleanor mastered the rope ladder at the Pirate Park this week, and also the rock wall at the “Lala” park. She is very into climbing, and is also working really hard on her jumping. Mom thinks she might have gotten off the ground with one attempt after lunch on Sunday. Henry keeps adding new sounds to his repertoire, and added a new word this week that is sure to make Mom and Dad proud – “cupcake”. HA! Like father like son I guess, according to legend my first word was “cookie”.
