This week Eleanor and Henry celebrated Mom’s birthday! They gave her matching alligator pajamas which Eleanor helped to pick out. They were both very excited to wear them that night. We took Mom out for breakfast for her birthday, and then later Colby came over and brought some cupcakes to continue the celebration.
We started the week with a trip to the zoo, where Henry rode the zoo train for the first time without Mom or Dad. Then he and Grayson bonded holding hands while riding in the double stroller. We finished the week with Grayson as well, celebrating his birthday at the always fun “Pump It Up”. Henry is very in to whatever Eleanor is doing these, and Eleanor loves to pick out matching clothes for them to wear. Mom caught a great scene with Henry washing out the doll potty and Eleanor washing out the real one. Monkey see, monkey do!
Eleanor surprised us all on Saturday by jumping off the end of her slide – it took a few attempts but Mom captured her mid-air. It was a legit both feet at the same time jump, so we can finally cross that off our checklist. Sometimes she even sticks the landing! Henry has also been working on his slide skills, and has mastered climbing up the slide – he was quite proud of himself for that maneuver. WE finished up the week with a fun visit from Uncle B – and Eleanor got to show off her inner rocker. All she needed was a turntable in front of her and she would have been a fully decked out DJ.
