Eleanor and Henry were happy to be back home and sleeping in their own beds this week – not to mention rediscovering all of their Christmas presents. Lala came over and we finally got to celebrate Christmas with her! We took down the tree (and showed Eleanor why the Corona towel we were using to mop up the water had a hole cut in the middle – instant costume!). Eleanor, Henry and Mom took an encore trip to the Winter Wonderland at Navy Pier – and this time Eleanor got to ride the Ferris Wheel. She also wanted to do the lighthouse lift ride again all by herself. Saturday brought lots of snow, and a perfect day for playing outside. Henry napped through most of it, but Eleanor loved the sled, making a snowman and snow angles, and packing snow in a bucket.
