Eleanor and Henry welcomed the month of March this week – but the weather didn’t seem to get the hint. Snow and cold were the prevailing conditions, so we had lots of indoor activities. Both Eleanor and Henry started the week still showing some effects of the past weeks illness, but by Tuesday we were back to normal. Monday they took a trip to the Children’s Museum and “discovered” a new room that we hadn’t played in before, complete with a fun slide! Tuesday and Wednesday we returned to our normal activities of preschool and bubbles classes. On Thursday, both kids had a new teacher at swimming class – Henry started with coach Tim (Eleanor’s old coach) and he was a bit sad that Dad wasn’t in the water with him, but afterwards he said he was excited about going back next week. Eleanor moved up to a new class with coach Steve, and she definitely did better with this transition than she did with the last coach change. Once she gets a little more comfortable with him, she should be doing some actual swimming by herself at this level.
Dad was in charge all weekend, so we didn’t get too many pictures, but we had a fun time. We checked out the Nature Museum and tried to have lunch and the Spicy Monkey, but they are already closed. Dad got to go to gym class with Henry, which was super fun and then pick Eleanor up from preschool. Uncle B stopped in for a visit and Eleanor immediately wanted to get out the doctor kit and play Doc McStuffin, which is now her go to Uncle B game. We should have some fun videos up later this week with Dad’s effort to make smoothies, and Eleanor getting ready for bed which required taking off a new record number of layers, including seven pairs of underwear! All in all, a fun weekend!
