No More Cribs

This week we converted Henry’s crib into a toddler bed. He was starting to crawl up onto the rails, so we decided it was about time. The first nap didn’t go so well, but after that he settled right in and has been sleeping (and staying in his bed) like a champ. He is very proud of his bed, and loves to let you know that he can climb in and out himself. Not to be left out of the bed excitement, we ordered a full size bed for Eleanor this week as well, should come next Tuesday. She is very excited. Amazingly we ran into Eleanor’s classmate Eloise again at the park this week, and again the three of them had fun playing together. Also fun at the park this week, Eleanor wanted to swing on the big kid swing, and was excited to swing really high on it (video coming!) We also sat and watched part of a tee ball game, Eleanor was especially interested in what they were doing and what all the rules were.

Henry has come up with a funny new phrase – he covers his head or hides behind his water bottle and then says, “Where is Me?”. Ha! Eleanor wasn’t feeling well on Sunday and we ended up taking her to the doctor – she has an ear infection. Poor thing. She slept for about 4 hours this afternoon. She seemed to be feeling a bit better after her nap. She did get excited about a new game that Mom bought, called Guess Who. It is pretty fun, although Eleanor keeps picking the same “Secret Friend”, so it isn’t too hard to guess which one she picked. It is fun to see her learn from the questions that we ask her, and then make up new ones to ask us. I almost forgot – Eleanor wrote her name for the first time on a card this week – the honor goes to Great Grandma Littleton on her get well card.
