Happy June

Henry and Eleanor welcomed in the month of June with a cookout in our back yard. Eleanor again said that eating her burger was her favorite part of the day, so Dad’s thinking there will be lots of burgers on the back patio this summer! Henry had a blast on Friday riding the train downtown with Mom and Dad. He brought his toy CTA train with him, and his favorite part was where the Red Line goes underground. We tried to take the kids to the park on Saturday afternoon, but they both fell asleep in the stroller on the way there, so Mom, Dad and Lala just sat on the grass at the park and talked while the kids slept.

Eleanor completed her transition to the next class at school – she was a bit nervous about it but seems to be doing great. Henry adds a second day each week this month, which means Mom gets one morning all to herself, and the kids each get a morning with just Mom.

Mom and Dad coincidentally wore the same t-shirt on Sunday, so we dug up some matching blue ones for the kids and had a matching family picture. Too bad Monkey and Thomas the Train didn’t have t-shirts too!
