Eleanor and Henry joined Mom and Dad for their first charity walk this weekend. It was scheduled to be a 5K walk, but we hopped the lines a bit and make it more like a 2K walk :) The kids did great despite a really poorly planned course, where we had to walk through a confined parking garage for about 15 minutes. We rounded out the weekend with a fun dinner with Aunt Tia and Uncle Jay! Yummy!
Henry and Eleanor each moved up a level in soccer class this week. The change was bigger for Henry, as he is now in a class where Dad sits on the sidelines after the first half. Henry was apprehensive at first, but quickly joined in and followed the coach’s instructions for the rest of the class. It was really exciting watching him participate and engage without the help of Mom or Dad. Another exciting milestone for Henry – he is now jumping off the step in swimming all by himself. We have been working up to this for weeks, but prior to this he needed to hold the coach’s hand before he would jump in.
After a few weeks off, Legos got a lot of interest from the kids this week, and Mom made some pretty cool structures including a big house and a working turnstile for the train station. Lala and Henry made a tower so tall Henry had to climb on top of the slide to put the top on it!
