The Beach!

Eleanor and Henry had a fun week at the beach. We had an early celebration for Eleanor’s birthday, and she received a super fun rocket ship play tent, and some great puppets and a puppet theater. I’m sure both will be big hits! Uncle B brought along a bunch of Legos for rainy day entertainment – Eleanor really liked doing the small size and worked with Mom to follow the instructions and pick out all the right pieces. Henry loved the train, although he couldn’t participate much in the building process. We seem to have neglected to take any pictures while enjoying the beach – but we definitely enjoyed swimming and building sand castles. Eleanor spent a long time in the water, but preferred to be on a float toy or held – we couldn’t convince her that swimming would be the same as in the pool. We also enjoyed lots of trips to the ice cream shop in town, and a bicycle built for seven! Henry slept in a big bed every night except the first, and did great! He never fell off, although he did seem to end up snuggled up with Dad by morning time  We had a cold front move through one day, so we spent the afternoon at a blueberry patch. We also seemed to have missed documenting that with photos, but I’m pretty sure it was a first for both Eleanor and Henry. Unfortunately, they both fell asleep in the car ride on the way there, so they were a bit groggy when we got there.
