Back to Normal

Eleanor and Henry had a relaxing week at home after a couple of weeks filled with Birthday celebrations. Henry had a fun trip downtown on the trains – he said he really wanted to ride the Red Line and go underground, but he got a little bored since there was nothing to look at out the windows once we went into the tunnel. After dropping Dad off at work, he and Mom took the elevated Brown Line and there was much more to see! Uncle B joined the kids for cupcakes on Friday in a fun surprise visit. On Saturday, Eleanor went to a birthday party at an art studio and learned to paint standing up “flinging” paint onto her canvas on the ground – she loved it! On Sunday we had a pizza party at friend Colby’s house, because the planned rooftop party for the Air and Water show got fogged out. The kids were bummed about missing the planes, but we had fun playing soccer and watching the trains at Colby’s house.

Eleanor had moved up to 100 piece puzzles which are a fun challenge for her. She is also getting quite daring with her climbing at the playgrounds. On Sunday, she did a fire pole decent all by herself! She is also getting more comfortable on the big swings, she now likes to go super high but hasn’t mastered pumping for herself yet.

Henry is also enjoying a new batch of puzzles – he is starting to work on the 40 – 60 piece ones. After watching Eleanor on the big swings, he also wanted to try them out and the two of them giggled and rode swings for a good 20 minutes on Saturday.
