The cold arrived in full force this week, so Eleanor and Henry had lots of indoor time, and lots of chances to wear some fun sweaters. One afternoon, Eleanor and Henry were playing downstairs while Mom was upstairs – and suddenly things got a little too quiet. Mom came down to discover that the kids had gotten out the cheese, bowls and grater and were making their own sprinkle cheese for a snack! Eleanor even put some on a graham cracker. On Friday night, Eleanor slept in her top bunk for the first time, and Henry slept in the bottom bunk. Both kids were excited about sleeping in the same room, they both thought it would help them sleep better and not have bad dreams. They did really well together, so we did the same on Saturday night. It went well again on Saturday night, so on Sunday we took apart Henry’s toddler bed and converted it into a full size bed. We don’t have a mattress for it yet, so the plan is for Henry to sleep in Eleanor’s room for a while. Also on Sunday, Henry drew a bit on his face while he was coloring – and managed to make a perfect Mr. Mistoffelees nose. Mom and Dad couldn’t take him seriously the rest of the night!
