This weekend Eleanor and Henry went to the annual “Touch a Truck” event, where the kids are able to sit in all kinds of different trucks. Henry remembered the train ride from last year, and that was all that he wanted to do. We convinced him to check out a few trucks, but then waited on the curb for about 20 minutes while they set up the train – we were definitely first in line! Henry took three rides, two in the pink car and one in the caboose. Eleanor took one train ride, and then got a balloon animal monkey. They also had do-it-yourself face painting, and Mom made a fantastic monkey on Eleanor’s cheek.
The weather over the weekend was fantastic, so there was lots of time for parks and outdoor play. Henry dusted off the sandbox for the first time this year, and we did lots of swinging. We also celebrated Monkey’s birthday – complete with decorations.
