Eleanor had her last day of school this week, and Mom and Dad got to come into class where we heard about each student’s hopes and dreams for next year, and had some snacks while watching an end of year slideshow. It is hard to believe that a whole school year has gone by! We took a picture in front of her classroom and Mom made a fun “before/after” shot with a similar one that we took on the first day of school.
Over the weekend we took a trip to Michigan this week to visit with Grandma and Grandpa, Auntie Susan, Mackenzie and Ben. Unfortunately, Uncle Gabe, Jack and Buddy had a conflict so we didn’t get to see them this time. Mom and Dad had some evening plans, so Saturday night Grandma and Grandpa were in charge. They had a fun popcorn movie night watching Frozen, and got to stay up past their usual bedtime. We also took a boat ride and Eleanor got to drive! She was very excited and actually got the hang of it a little bit. We tried to get Henry to take a turn, but he just wanted to watch. Eleanor kept asking Grandpa to go faster, while Henry kept asking to go slower. It was a bit too cold for swimming, but Henry really enjoyed dipping his feet into the water from the dock with Dad and Ben. We also watched for fish – but only saw a few little ones.
On Monday Eleanor and Henry started their Space Camp at the Planetarium – hopefully they will have a good week and we will have more photos of their adventures next week!
