Henry and Eleanor celebrated Uncle B’s birthday this week with some cupcakes and a trip to the Uncle B Funhouse. Uncle B had some new additions to share, including mood lighting, a new train set, play foam, a bucket elevator and a ball pit. When we first told the kids of our plan to go to Uncle B’s house, Eleanor said that she wanted us to drop just her and Henry off there, and then not come back for at least 5 hours. Ha!
On Sunday we had a relaxing rainy day morning with a late breakfast, some train plan and some science experiments. We got some new supplies, and explored litmus paper, pH paper and chromatography paper. Eleanor said that drawing the dots on the chromatography paper was her favorite, and Henry said the old standby of “Sink or Float” was still his favorite.
During the week the kids had space camp at the planetarium. It seemed to go pretty well, although Henry got a little sad at dropoff the last couple of days. Mom and Dad didn’t get too many details on what exactly they did – although snack time consistently rated as a favorite :)
