After several delays for bad weather, Eleanor finally got to try out her sandbox this week. She was a bit tentative at first, but eventually got the hang of it. She liked the sand pouring through the sieve shovel, and then running her own hand through the sand. She gave her hand quite a stare when she lifted it back out of the sand and there was still sand stuck on it! Eleanor also enjoyed hitting the town this week in her new Keen sandals – maybe next week we can get a picture of her and dad in matching Keens.
Some fun milestones for this week:
- wore Keen sandals
- wiggled out of belt on changing pad when momma wasn’t looking
- crawled over (and got stuck on) a box
- can sign “more” to indicate she wants more of a food (or at least when you say the word “more” to her)
- tried watermelon and waffles
- first (with many more to come!) trip to Dairy Queen

Haha – love the t-shirt Eleanor!!! Ketchup and Mustard! Glad you like the sand… can’t wait to come play in the sandbox with you, I’m pretty good at castles.
So many happy smiles! See you soon!
We just got Giuliana the same sandbox. So much fun! Hope she didn’t eat the sand like our little one did…
