Eleanor and Henry welcomed in October this week with some cooler weather. When Mom picked up Eleanor from school on Thursday for our therapy session, Eleanor declared that she already had a plan for the afternoon: they would get off the train and get popcorn and then eat it in the lobby while they waited for me. When they got off the train, Eleanor made a bee line for the Garrett’s popcorn stand and proceeded to order a bag of cheesy popcorn from the cashier while Mom was still making her way down the hall. Eleanor was very excited to eat it all up.
Uncle B got some babysitting time in this week – and the kids kept him going the whole time. Dad came home and found the giant bean bags tied together with a t-shirt and Uncle B pulling the whole thing as a train!
Henry had picture day at school this week, and the report from his teacher was that it went well. Last year, he was so sad on picture day that the teacher had to hold him in her lap to get the class picture. Then the photographer’s camera broke and they lost off the of individual shots for Henry’s class. His teachers comment to us was basically that we didn’t lose much as Henry’s picture wasn’t very good because he had refused to look at the camera, much less even smile. Can’t wait to see the results from this year.
