This week we celebrated Henry’s Birthday! Yahoo! Unfortunately, for the second year in a row, Henry was a bit under the weather. Actually, the whole family except for Mom came down with something this week. Luckily, Henry was feeling well enough to do his present string trail, although we had to postpone the cupcake until the next day. He had held up pretty well all day, but finally had an epic meltdown at dinner that lasted through a bath and all the way into bed. Poor guy.
We also had VIP day at Eleanor’s school, where her class put on a concert, and then she got to show us around her classroom. Henry was super excited to get to hold the guinea pigs on his lap! Eleanor made out a “Passport” with drawings of seven things in her class to show us during the visit. Then, we got to go to the cafeteria and make puppets.
Over the weekend, we made the gingerbread house and train that Lala bought us, and mostly just relaxed around the house – everyone was still recovering a bit from the long week. Henry went to a birthday party for a classmate at Pump It Up on Sunday that he was really excited for. He climbed farther up the rock wall than I have ever seen him do before, and although he was a little sad that he didn’t get higher, I was very impressed.
