Eleanor took lots of trips out to parks this week, with Mimi in town all week and Dad taking a day off to play. She had lots of fun on the swings, and took her first trip down a slide all by herself (and loved it!). Then on Sunday, she went to North Avenue beach for the first time, and played in the sand and dipped her feet into the lake. In addition to working on her walking, Eleanor has been concentrating on her shape sorter this week. She loves to help push the shape through the hole – and sometimes can even do it by herself. She is also asserting her eating preferences by depositing less desirable food directly onto the floor. It turns out the oranges and avocados make a particularly satisfying “splat” when they hit the floor.
A few non-Eleanor related highlights, we came back from the park on Tuesday to find our entryway coat rack on the floor and one cat on super high alert. On Thursday night, we had a crazy hail storm with hail landing on the deck that was larger than a quarter.

Very fun… I wonder what she is thining in the one with the remote… Wonderful pictures on the beach… hugs
make that “thinking”
I think the first pic of the remote is ‘how do you dial out on this thing’. The second one is ‘tonight we’re watching what I want to watch.’
Mike you are an awesome Dad/husband, tell your parents I think they did a brilliant job raising you.
Love the one of you with the toys on your head and E is looking at you and probably thinking “My dad is a goofball” ha, ha !!!!! The beach pic of Dad and E walking is fantastic !!! :)
