Eleanor and Henry had a quiet week settling back into our routine. Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been very spring-like, so we’ve had a lot of indoor activities. On Saturday, we stayed home most of the day, and then Henry had a friend’s birthday party at Pump it Up (from 5-7?!) at which he had a good time, but got pretty tired and hungry towards the end. Eleanor and Mom stayed home and did some kitchen experiments (and apparently Eleanor got a few marshmallows!). On Sunday, we took a morning trip down to the planetarium for some museum fun. It had been a while since we had been there last, and so the kids had fun rediscovering many of the exhibits.
During the week, Eleanor graduated to the next level in swimming class, which was pretty exciting. The next level does a double wide lane and the kids swim full laps back and forth. Henry impressed Mom and Dad by putting a lego set (small size, not Duplo) together all by himself! Also during the week, Eleanor randomly announced that she wanted to make a fruit salad, and both kiddos ended up making their own creations – picking out each item they wanted, washing it, and cutting it up into their bowls. Which explains the otherwise strange picture of each next to a random bowl of fruit :)
