Eleanor and Henry had a fun sleepover at Uncle B’s house this weekend. Both kiddos had a super fun time, although we may have had a bit too much sugar. About two hours after regular bedtime, and after a cake pop, and two ice cream treats, Henry came over to me, having just finished playing with a Lego Ferris Wheel in the rocket room with climbing nets, with Eleanor and Uncle B in the treehouse and the model trains buzzing overhead and said, “I’m bored, there’s nothing to do here.” Hmmm, ok Henry, time to go to sleep :) On Sunday we had the end of school picnic for Eleanor, which was great fun, although the kids were a bit tired from their late night on Saturday. Henry got his face painted like Batman, and was very proud of it. So proud, in fact, that he threw a bit of a fit as we took a bath and washed it off. The end result was a very funny “goth” Henry who seemed to be wearing black eyeliner. Ha!
Also this week, Eleanor had her end of year art fair, and we watched Star Wars 1, the Phantom Menace. Eleanor was excited to meet Padme, so we skipped Return of the Jedi for now. Only 4 more to go! Henry got a new bigger scooter, which he has really enjoyed so far! Eleanor finally finished her Star Wars book – she has been working on it for a couple weeks now. She is very proud of it, and even took it over to Uncle B’s house so that she could read it to him.
