Eleanor and Henry celebrated Memorial Day weekend with some fun activities. On Saturday, Eleanor had a playdate with some school friends, and Henry and Dad got some alone time to play trains and do some scootering. For dinner, we did a make your own pizza night with bonus ice cream desert. On Sunday, after a fun morning of parks and scootering, Eleanor went over to Lala’s for a sleepover. Henry stayed home with Mom and Dad, and we watched the last 20 laps of the Indianapolis 500. The race had been on a tv an the restaurant at lunch, and Henry was so fascinated by it that we came home and recorded it so that we could watch the finish. We also spent some time cleaning off the back patio and getting it ready for summer. Henry was in charge of the hose and did all of the spraying! Finally, on Monday we had Uncle B and Lala over for an afternoon cookout. Henry impressed Lala with his scootering skills, and then Uncle B with his newly discovered baseball skills. Time to order that left handed glove!
On Friday, Eleanor had her spring concert, and her class sang a couple of songs, and also played the xylophones and did an Indian Stick Dance. Eleanor didn’t exactly sing, but she did participate a bit, so that was good progress. She was paired with her friend Hannah for the stick dance, and Hannah really lead Eleanor through the whole thing, including holding hands from their seats to the stage and back. It was very sweet :)
Only three days of school left for Eleanor, and two for Henry. Can’t wait for summer vacation!
