Painting Eleanor’s Room!

This week we finally got around to repainting Eleanor’s room. She had been asking to redecorate her room to a pink theme, and to take down the wall stickers and replace them with other things. So on Saturday we took a family trip to Home Depot and Eleanor picked out the color, and we got all the necessary supplies. We tried three different colors on the wall, and Eleanor’s original favorite was “Funny Face”, but we all agreed that “Funhouse” looked better once it was dry on the wall. It took a bit longer than expected to get everything ready, but finally after dinner Eleanor and Henry were able to start painting on the walls. They ended up loving it, and we painted together for about 90 minutes, during which they did the lower half of three walls. On Sunday we finished up the last wall and some edges – we’ll let it dry and then she should be back in her room on Monday :)

Earlier in the week Mom and the kids had a fun visit to the Museum of Science and Industry, and got another look and the new Lego exhibit. Eleanor and Henry also picked out and wore some matching super hero PJs – which reminded me of the “Underoos” of my childhood. They were both pretty excited, and did some great poses with their “Super Hero Faces” on.
