This week we had Eleanor’s birthday party for her friends at Pump It Up. Everything went smoothly, and everyone seemed to have a good time, especially Eleanor. She chose a mermaid for her cake design – the other finalist was a Sesame Street theme, which Mom and Dad both found interesting because she has never really been into Sesame Street, and I don’t think she has ever watched a full episode. Earlier in the day, one of Eleanor’s classmates had a birthday party, and Dad was pretty excited because it was at the yacht club and Eleanor got a sailing lesson! She and two other friends were in a little Optimist sailboat, with coaches nearby in motorboats. There were a few collisions but no tipping over, so that was a success!
All week Henry had “Super Hero Camp” at Emerald City Theater – unfortunately Eleanor couldn’t join him because she was too old, but Henry really seemed to like it. I couldn’t get him to sing any of the songs for me, but Mom and Eleanor got to see the final performance and were impressed.
