Eleanor and Henry had a fun weekend visit from Grandma! We had lots of fun playtime, built an entire Lego amusement park, played dolls and Sorry, and got some good park and scooter time. Grandma and Henry got a special lunch date at Panera while Dad and Eleanor went to a birthday party. Mom had a relaxing weekend getaway with her friends, so Dad and Grandma were in charge. Eleanor had a school field trip to an apple orchard, and came back with a bag of apples that she had picked. She had a whole plan worked out by the time she got home on exactly what she wanted to do with each apple. Half were to be turned into caramel apples, while the other half would be chocolate apples. Unfortunately, Dad had never made either of those apple creations, so we had to wing it a bit. We ended up making all of them caramel, and then turned out pretty well – and everyone agreed they were tasty. Actually, all but one, Henry ate his with peanut butter and chocolate sauce :)
Henry also had his first JK playdate this week, with friend Bodhi coming over for some fun superhero and Paw Patrol playtime. Henry was really excited for the playdate, and both kids were super cute on the way home from school, brimming with excitement.
One quick note – the picture of the paper with the random letters on it was a project Eleanor was working on, making a computer. When she was done, she pretended to type on the letters as her keyboard.
