Henry and Eleanor had been rooting on the Cubs this week as they host the World Series for the first time in what seems like forever. Both kids said they wanted to watch the games, but really they just want to know in the morning if the Cubs won. So far it hasn’t gone so well, hopefully tonight they will turn things around. Mom took the kids up to the stadium on an off day for some photos. Henry also has the “travelling friend” from school this week, which means we take a stuffed animal Knuffle Bunny around with us all weekend then then put pictures and a description in the class journal. They also had their school Halloween parade on Friday, which is always super fun to see.
On Friday night, Henry had a sleepover with Lala, and Mom, Dad and Eleanor had a fun dinner out. On Saturday, Henry had a birthday party at Junior Ninja Warriors, which was pretty fun. Henry especially liked the inflatable climbing wall, and the wall that you could run up the side. Eleanor was pretty impressed with the pictures of Henry having fun, and wanted to know if she had any parties coming up at that same place.
On Sunday the whole family got flue shots, which didn’t go so well – both kids had to be physically restrained while they got their shots. After that, we took the rest of the day easy with lots of playtime, and a family movie – “Home”. Oh yeah, and Dad was pretty proud of his pumpkin pancakes.
