Twice this week Eleanor and Henry surprised us with some fantastic costumes. First, on Friday night after putting the kids to bed, Mom and Dad were enjoying a movie when Eleanor and Henry crept down the stairs. We were about to send them back up with they announced that they were getting married and wanted to show us their outfits. Ha! Henry had put on a top hat, button down shirt and a tie to go with his pajama bottoms, and Eleanor had somehow managed to squeeze into a white dress at least three years too small for her. Then, on Saturday, we had dinner at Eleanor’s friend Lincoln’s house and the kids put on two shows for us, the first was an original music piece with Henry dancing in the background and Eleanor on guitar and Lincoln on violin. The second was a play about a girl who got lost in the woods (Lincoln) who was helped by her fairy godmother (Eleanor) and protected by Kylo-Ren (Henry).
Also exciting this week, Henry moved up a level in swimming, and he is super excited because in this new level they learn the dolphin kick. The school also had their spring art fair, and Eleanor’s “found items” self portrait was on display. Eleanor and Henry were most excited about the cookies that were also available during the art show.
