Eleanor and Henry celebrated their last day of school this week! Henry’s class had a last day party and invited the parents in to see some of the work they did all year, and to watch an end of the year slideshow. Eleanor’s class took an end of the year picnic field trip. On their first day of summer vacation, Mom took the kiddos up to a pool for a day of relaxing and swimming. Then, over the weekend, we had a relaxing Saturday with a cheesburger cookout, and on Sunday we went to a Cubs game (a win!). Our goal was to make it to the seventh inning stretch so that Henry could sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”, and we did it! By then, things were looking good for a victory so we ended up staying to the end and got to sing “Go Cubs Go!” as well!
