Eleanor and Henry made it through a rainy week with some fun indoor activities. On Saturday we watched a bit of football, and played a bunch of games – including starting a game of Hotels! We didn’t make it through to the end, so we had to finish up Sunday morning. Eleanor had a birthday party to attend, so Dad and Henry got some alone time and we played some football outside during a brief break in the rain. Eleanor had her friend Lincoln come over before the party and she spend most of the morning getting ready – she made up three games to play: pin the stem on the pumpkin, a “pinata” made out of paper, and a super spy game where Dad hid picture clues around the house that finally lead to a ghost that Eleanor had made.
During the week, Henry’s class had a field trip to the farmer’s market, and Mom got to go along. He also graduated up a level in swimming, and now he and Eleanor are at the same level! Both Eleanor and Henry have really been enjoying the sports books that Uncle and Aunt B gave them – we have been reading them almost every night, and sometimes twice with Eleanor reading them either to Henry or to herself in bed. It really showed as we watched some football this weekend – they were both picking up the rule and the flow of the game a bit!
