Happy Thanksgiving

Eleanor and Henry celebrated Thanksgiving with a trip to see Grandma and Grandpa. The trains and Barbies were a big hit as always, along with some new additions – Eleanor loved playing ping pong with Grandpa, with her favorite part being chasing the ball once it hit the floor. Henry was excited about playing football it the back yard – he especially loves the quarterback sneak! On actual Thanksgiving, Henry could barely contain himself with all the excitement – he loved playing basketball with all of his cousins – his strategy was to just grab and try to tackle whoever had the ball. He was also quite impressed with all the desert options – he decided that he needed to try one of everything. Eleanor and Grandma had fun writing notes to each other, and Eleanor ended up writing two poems – maybe she has written others at school, but they are the first poems that I can remember her writing.

When I asked Eleanor what she was going to share with her classmates about her weekend, she already knew her answer – the time Grandma dropped her phone into her desert. It was extra funny because Henry added – “Grandma, did you think that was your fork?”

Back home on Sunday, we picked out our Christmas tree and decorated it. Hopefully soon I’ll have the video ready.
