Santa Train and Gingerbread Houses

Eleanor and Henry had a blast riding the Santa Train this week, one of our holiday traditions. Then, on the weekend, we built some gingerbread houses. Henry chose the stable chateau, which went up and stayed up easily, giving him lots of time for decorating. Eleanor picked out the more challenging cottage shape, which took a while to build and a few iterations on the roof, but eventually stayed together. As a result she didn’t have as much time for decorating, but still enjoyed the project and made a fantastic wreath above the door. Looking forward to a visit with Santa and the Zoo Lights this next week!
