Tooth Fairy and a Snow Day!

Eleanor and Henry enjoyed a snow day on Friday – hitting the sledding hill with their friends Lincoln and Mason. They had some advanced warning, so on the way home from school on Thursday they stocked up with some new sleds and a box of Lucky Charms for breakfast! Both kids enjoyed the sledding, although Eleanor mentioned that “Going back up the hill was hard work!”.

Henry lost both his bottom front teeth this week. The first one went missing on Tuesday, and we aren’t sure exactly when. We noticed that night while flossing, but Henry thinks perhaps he lost it at school – he most likely ate it. He was super sad that he didn’t have the tooth, but he cheered up once we explained that the tooth fairy would still come. He also checked in the bathroom for the next day or so to see if the tooth reappeared there! Then, on Thursday, the other bottom tooth came out, and this time he felt it as he was eating popcorn and was able to keep it. He was very proud of the tooth shaped container that the nurse gave him to carry his tooth home.

This weekend both kids had birthday parties to attend, and Henry had his first basketball game. He was very excited, and it went really well. Coach Mom called him a “natural”!

We introduced Eleanor to the board game Clue this week, and she loved it! She won her first three games and is pretty excited about playing with more people – hopefully Henry will want to play soon!
