Eleanor and Henry had a week packed full of activities – culminating in Henry’s Birthday! We started off the week with a birthday celebration for Henry at school, and then on Thursday we went to the mall for a visit with Santa. We went with our friends Lincoln and Mason, and afterwards had dinner out with them as well for a fun new Santa visit tradition. On Friday, Henry had his winter concert at school, where his class sang and played several songs, as well as a dance routine for the whole school. Then, they hosted their VIPs for an hour in their classrooms, showing off some of their work and doing a project or two together. Henry was excited to have Lala join him as his VIP.
Friday night we had our annual “Bubble Mama Christmas Party” – the kids had fun playing with each other and watching “Small Foot” while the adults enjoyed catching up. On Saturday, Eleanor had a soccer game and was excited that Grandma and Grandpa got to come and spectate – plus the team got their first win of the year! Then we hosted Uncle B, Aunt Breanne, Grandma, Grandpa and Lala for an early Christmas celebration. Finally, on Sunday we celebrated Henry’s birthday with a string trail in the morning, lunch with Grandma and Grandpa, and then the Blackhawks game that evening.
Phew – that was a packed week!
