Henry and Eleanor had a fantastic week out in Colorado skiing. Both kiddos did some lessons, and made great progress. Eleanor quickly earned back her ski pols and by the end of the trip was confidently going down blue runs, and even did the top of a black run! Henry had a bit of a hiccup when he got poles at the end of the day, and then the instructor took them back because he wasn’t quite ready for them. Luckily, he earned them back the next day, and was also tackling blue runs by the end of the trip.
We had a chance to catch up with our cousin Augustus, Adam and Begonia, along with Aunt Jane. The kids had a fun time playing with Augustus – they even got their own table at dinner. The first thing Henry said when he sat down was, “So, Augustus, what do you want to talk about?” Ha! We also had lots of friends and family at the house, including the triplets Alexa, Hailey and Madeline. There was lots of game playing, and even some swimming in the fantastic heated pool. There were also a few very little ones around, and Henry and Eleanor were fascinated with feeding and entertaining these little ones.
Both kids mentioned that playing with the other kiddos was one of their favorite things, along with our family ski day on the last day. Already can’t wait till next year!
