Eleanor and Henry started school this week, and it went pretty well. They started with three half days before finishing off the week with regular full days. They were both a combination of nervous and excited on the first day, and both had smiles when we picked them up. Eleanor had a particularly good week meeting a number of girls that she thinks will be friends, and even getting invited over for a play date. Henry didn’t immediately identify any potential friends, but by Friday he was playing with kids at recess (even though he couldn’t remember their names!!!).
Henry also started his soccer and football teams this week, with practices for each. Somehow Dad ended up as an assistant coach for soccer and the head coach for football, so that will be an adventure. Feel free to send your best designed trick plays this way.
We took it pretty easy over the labor day weekend, getting some good relaxing time in, as well as some family bike rides, and a day at the beach with our cousins. Looking forward to starting week 2 and getting into a routine.
