Eleanor and Henry had an adventure with our sprinkler system this week. We needed to figure out how to water a particular tree, so we broke out the walkie talkies and turned it into a treasure hunt. While Dad cycled through all of the different sprinkler settings (12?!) the kids reported back on the walkie talkies where water was coming out. They were skeptical when I described to them what we needed to do, but we ended up having fun with it.
Also this week was the school book fair, and both kids had fun picking out a few books to read. Henry was so excited about his book that he brought it to breakfast to read while he ate! Eleanor finished a series of 4 books that she bought on the same day!
The weekend was filled with sports for Henry on Saturday, where his soccer team earned their first non-loss (a tie) and his football team earned their first victory (albeit against the other win-less team in our division…). Eleanor had a fun playdate with her friend Scarlet where they painted pottery. On Sunday we did a bike ride and relaxed around the house, and did a bunch of Halloween crafts that Grandma and Grandpa sent to us – Thanks!
