Eleanor and Henry had more visitors this week, with Grandma and Grandpa stopping in for a visit. We had a fun packed week of activities, and a lot of eating out! On Monday we took advantage of a day off of school to visit Cabrillo National Monument and check out the tide pools. The kids were excited to use their hiking polls again, but we didn’t see as much activity in the tide pools as we had hoped. It was a beautiful hike though. On Wednesday, Henry was awarded a certificate by his teacher for exemplifying the trait of the month, which was curiosity. He got the certificate at an assembly which made it extra special. Wednesday night we headed down to Little Italy for a yummy dinner, but seem to have neglected to take any pictures.
On Thursday, Grandma and Aunt Breanne were responsible for pickup while Dad, Uncle B and Grandpa finished up a round of golf. There was lots of fun including word searches and Uno Dare, followed by a yummy homemade taco dinner. On Saturday, we hit up a mini golf course and some go karting – neither kiddo wanted to drive so it ended up being Uncle B and Dad racing with the kids as passengers. Hopefully I can get a copy of the video from Grandma to share! We celebrated Grandpa’s birthday a bit early with some cake – its always good to get multiple birthday celebrations in!
