Henry’s Six Week Birthday!

Henry turned Six Weeks old on Friday, and he is definitely starting to show his age!  This week his sleeping schedule has started to regulate, with a number of through the night sleeps.  He is also more alert during his awake cycles, and has started showing interest in toys.  Aunt Lary claims to have seen a smile, but that claim is being challenged by Mom and Dad :)  I can confirm (and there is photographic evidence) that Aunt Lary did get him to hold a monkey toy in his hand.  Unless Mom forgot to mention it to me, that was a first.  Unfortunately, this week also brought his first sick days – he, Eleanor and Mom have all been under the weather this weekend.  Both Mom and Dad have been the surprised recipient of some flying milk.

Eleanor has been working on her communication and drawing skills this week.  She tried out her new drawing table this weekend and it did a great job of containing the crayon use to just the paper.  Hopefully she got her Mom’s drawing genes, because Mom’s crayon dogs and cats look a lot better than my attempts.  This weekend was the first time Eleanor has had a fever –  but on the plus side both Mom and Dad got lots of good snuggle time.  New words this week include: “no”, “toe”, “cra..(cker)”, and a few more that I’m forgetting at the moment.
